This was where we had our first dinner at Hoi An after reading all the good reviews from TripAdvisor. We were not disappointed.
Here we were able to experience the delights of Vietnamese cuisine in all it’s forms: street food meals, family favourites and contemporary creations made by Restaurant owner Ms Vy.
From Hoi An staples such as Cao Lau and My Quang, to dishes from the North, South, home remedies and more, the Morning Glory menu is comprehensive. You’ll be tempted to return to the restaurant just to sample more of the food. A refreshing part of the experience is that you get an upclose view of the cooking with the restaurant’s unique open kitchen.
Prepare your tastebuds for a surprise, albeit a pleasant one!

Miss Ly CafeteriaThe Restaurant name is simple but not the taste of the dishes it serves. This is a "Must-Try" restaurant in Hoi An Ancient Town. The restaurant space is not big, my advice is to make a reservation to avoid disappointment.
Personally I prefer the food at Miss Ly to Morning Glory's. I find the food here finer and not as commercialized. Nathan, Miss Ly's hubby from the US, was friendly and made some very good recommendation for our big group.
Must-Try dishes include the fried wontons, white rose, spring roll and cau lau (traditional noodle). Even the fried rice taste awesome.
Wine Corkage was reasonable at USD4 per bottle. After the meal, Nathan showed us to the kitchen where Miss Ly and her crew prepared all the wonderful Vietnamese dishes.
To me, this place is the best in Hoi An.

Bamboo BuddhaIf you have too much Vietnamese food and in need of some Western fix in Hoi An, this is the place to go. Located on the other side of the river in Ancient Town, Bamboo Buddha was the brain child of French Owner, Renaud, who had settled down in Hoi An for years.
As a french fine dining restaurant, this place was pricey compared to the other restaurants that we had visited in Hoi An. But the ambience and the food put you through a different dining experience. The bar restaurant serves good cocktails and we had few rounds of passion fruit mojito, blue lagoon etc before starting our meals with the reasonably-priced wine.
Food quality was good but not exceptional but do give it a try for something different in Hoi An.
