Kanye always manages to surprise us.
During the fifth annual Fast Company Innovation Festival in New York on Thursday, Kanye West surprised the crowd by appearing on a panel discussion together with Yeezy shoe designer Steven Smith on their first public walk together. When they introduced Yeezy's new sneakers , partly made from eco-friendly algae fiber, the 42-year-old musician-businessman proclaimed, "Yeezy is the Apple of apparel."
Then during the conversation Ye released a series of shocking news. One of them caught the eye, the artist is considering legally changing his name to Christian Genius Billionaire Kanye West for a year. So Kanye would put everything he currently represents his name.
Ye also talked about a new headquarters in Cody, Wyoming for Yeezy, the company's goal of bringing the brand's models to the US and how a deal between Louis Vuitton and Yeezy was struck years before his friend Virgil. Abloh was named creative director of menswear at Louis Vuitton last year - a move he alludes to a slap in the face.
